Three Demon Deacons Named to PING All-Region Team

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest men's golfers Will Zalatoris, Davis Womble and Danny Guise were named to the 2015 PING Division I All-East Region team as selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
A total of 155 players across six regions - Northeast, East, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West - earned all-region honors for 2015.
Zalatoris led Wake Forest with a 70.07 stroke average this season to go along with five top-10 finishes and one victory. He was named the ACC Freshman of the Year and earned a spot on the All-ACC team. His stroke average of 70.07 is the second lowest in a single season at Wake Forest behind Bill Haas' mark of 68.93 in 2003-04. Zalatoris finished under par in all but one tournament this season and finished the season ranked No. 20 individually by Golfstat.com.
Womble posted his first collegiate win at the Yale Spring Invitational. He finished the season with four top-five finishes and a stroke average of 71.61. Danny Guise posted a stroke average of 71.27 with four top-10 finishes this season. He had the second-best scoring average on the team for the 2014-15 season.
