OMAHA, Neb. - Wake Forest sophomore Will Craig became a consensus All-American by picking up his fourth and fifth All-America honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association and Baseball America.

He becomes just the fourth Demon Deacon to be recognized as an All-American by five different outlets, joining Jamie D'Antona (2003), Kyle Sleeth (2002) and Dave Bush (2002). The previous three were all drafted in the top two rounds of the MLB Draft, with two reaching the big leagues.

Craig has now been named a First Team All-American by the ABCA, NCBWA, Louisville Slugger and D1Baseball, and a Second Team All-American by Baseball America.

A first baseman, designated hitter and pitcher, Craig finished his season with a .382 average, 20 doubles, 13 homers and 58 RBIs, along with 41 walks and just 24 strikeouts.

On the mound, he struck out nearly a batter per inning while allowing less than a hit per inning.

He was also the ACC Player of the Year, a Dick Howser Trophy semifinalist, Midseason Player of the Year and on the Golden Spikes Award watch list.

Craig is spending the summer in the Cape Cod League with the Chatham Anglers and will be a junior at Wake Forest for the 2016 campaign.
