SAN FRANCISCO -- Former Wake Forest outfielder Mac Williamson was called up to the San Francisco Giants active roster, the organization announced on Wednesday.

Williamson started the year with the Giants' AA affiliate in Richmond before being promoted to the AAA affiliate in Sacramento.

In 123 games, he hit .275 with 13 homers, 73 RBIs and 28 doubles to go along with a .368 on-base percentage and four stolen bases.

His strong 2015 season came after missing most of 2014 due to Tommy John surgery, and it was also his first season above A ball.

Should he enter an MLB game this year, he will become the third Demon Deacon to make his Major League Baseball debut this season. Allan Dykstra played in his first game on April 8, while Tim Cooney made his first start April 30.

Williamson played at Wake Forest from 2010-12 after redshirting in 2009. He racked up 36 career homers, and was a third-round pick following his redshirt-junior campaign.
