EARLYSVILLE, Va. – Following a week away from competition, the Wake Forest men's and women's cross country teams resume action Saturday at the Virginia Panorama Farms Invitational. The meet will be held at Panorama Farms in Earlysville, Va.

The men will start the day in the Division I 8K race at 10 a.m., while the women will run at 10:45 a.m. in the Division I 5K race.

Host Virginia, Auburn, Coastal Carolina, Eastern Kentucky, Furman, High Point, Hofstra, Liberty, Morehead State, Oklahoma, Radford and Yale will join the Demon Deacons at the event. The Campbell and Butler men's teams will compete, as well as the Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan women's squads.

At the Panorama Farms Invitational in 2014, then-senior Alexander Rose led the Deacs to a ninth-place finish as a team with a personal finish of 32nd. The women placed third thanks in large part to top-10 finishes by Samantha Jones and Cate Allen.

Saturday's Demon Deacon lineup will feature 15 men and 12 women.

Both Wake Forest cross country teams last competed Sept. 12 at the Furman Classic in Greenville, S.C. On the men's side, Simon Holden and Evan Little posted top-20 finishes to help guided the Demon Deacons to a third place finish in the 12-team race. Jones placed fourth for the women as the Deacs came in fifth as a team.
