Bryant Crawford Named ACC Rookie of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wake Forest freshman guard Bryant Crawford was named ACC Rookie of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday (Feb. 22), after strong performances last week at Pitt and against Boston College.
In Tuesday's 101-96 double-overtime loss at Pitt, Crawford led the Deacons with 20 points, six rebounds, six assists and five steals, becoming the first Wake Forest player with a 20-5-5-5 game since Chris Paul in 2005. It was Crawford's fifth 20-point game of the season, his third in ACC play.
On Sunday, Crawford had 12 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals in Wake Forest's 74-48 victory over Boston College.
Crawford leads ACC freshmen in assists and steals this season.
The honor was the first for a Demon Deacon this season.
Wake Forest returns to action on Wednesday (Feb. 24) when it hosts No. 23 Notre Dame. Game time is 9 p.m.
