WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Playing without a pair of ranked singles players, the No. 7 Wake Forest men's tennis team split a pair of dual matches on Sunday outdoors at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex. The Demon Deacons began the day with a 4-3 loss to No. 40 NC State before rebounding with a 7-0 sweep of Tennessee Tech.
The Deacons are now 14-4 on the season and fell to 1-1 in ACC play with the loss to the Wolfpack.
The Deacs' Skander Mansouri, the nation's 25th-ranked singles player, and Petros Chrysochos, ranked 34th, missed their second and third-consecutive matches to represent their respective countries at the Davis Cup. Mansouri played for Tunisia, while Chrysochos played for Cyprus.
