WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest junior Nate Mondou was voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Baseball Team, the organization announced Thursday afternoon.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom, as selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
To be eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-District team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.3 GPA while being a meaningful contributor on the field in at least his second year at the school.
Mondou earns the honor for the second straight season. He is third on the team with a .309 average, also tallying 11 doubles, two homers and 26 RBIs.
He also excels in the classroom as a business and enterprise management major, and is a two-time selection to the ACC All-Academic Team.
Mondou advances onto the ballot for Academic All-America, which will be selected by a committee later this month.
