Deacs Finish Regular Season in Boone

BOONE, N.C. -- The Wake Forest men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up their 2016 outdoor regular seasons at the Appalachian Outdoor Open at Kidd Brewer Stadium in Boone, N.C. on Saturday.
Four Demon Deacons placed first in their respective events and a pair of Deacs had season-best results.
Freshman Alexandria Florent was a quarter of an inch shy of matching her career-best height in the high jump, winning the event with a leap of 1.77m. Kathleen Adair won the women's pole vault with her best mark of the season, 4.03m.
The other two first-place finishes came from Hunter Roberts and Mia Wilson. Roberts, who took part in three events on the day, finished the 100m hurdles in 14.08 seconds, while Wilson ran the 400m in 1:05.56.
For the men, Bobby Jacowleff had a 55.03-second time in the 400m hurdles, while Luke Annichiarico posted a personal record mark of 4.76m in the pole vault.
Wake Forest will begin postseason competition next weekend when it heads to Tallahassee, Fla. to compete in the ACC Outdoor Championships.
