ACC Releases Baseball Preseason Poll

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Atlantic Coast Conference released its 2017 baseball preseason poll, with Wake Forest being picked to finish fifth in the Atlantic Division by the league head coaches.
Six of the seven teams in the Atlantic Division made the NCAA Tournament a year ago, including the Demon Deacons, as well as regional winners Florida State, Louisville and Boston College.
Florida State was picked to be the overall champion, receiving 10 of the 14 first-place votes. The Seminoles received 93 votes in the Atlantic Division, followed by Louisville (79), Clemson (66), NC State (64), Wake Forest (38), Boston College (26) and Notre Dame (26).
The Atlantic Division has four teams ranked in the top 10 of a preseason poll. Baseball America has FSU ranked second, Louisville seventh and Clemson 10th, while D1Baseball has NC State ranked sixth.
Three different teams in the Coastal Division received at least three first-place votes, including North Carolina (6), Virginia (4) and Miami (3).
