FROM COACH WALTER
"It's tough to play from behind like we did all weekend against a good team. We had some chances to grab some momentum after Javar [Williams] home run in the first inning. We got two outs on three pitches and had the 9-hole hitter on a 0-2 count. We walked him and then made a bad 2-2 pitch on the next hitter for the home run and the momentum swung right back into their dugout. We probably should have taken Duncan [Marsten] out after the third inning because he wasn't throwing the ball great. We probably should have gone to Troy [Dressler] a little sooner. That's certainly on me and could have kept it at a 5-1 game and then the other late innings might change. When their starting pitcher was out there with a big lead it makes it easier for him to pitch. We didn't get into their bullpen soon enough. If we would have kept it 5-1, I feel like we could have found a way to win that game. Same thing when we got to 8-3. We needed to put up a zero there. We hit a guy trying to bunt. Then we get a big out and get to 0-2 again to the 9-hole hitter and then he hits a grand slam. We just need to execute better in those situations to grab the momentum. We didn't do that all series. It was a disappointing weekend and now we'll have to be ready to go on Tuesday." - Head Coach Tom Walter
