Deacs Head to Liberty Elite Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Wake Forest men's and women's track and field teams will return to Lynchburg, Va. for the Liberty Elite Invitational Feb. 10 & 11.
The Deacs were in Lynchburg earlier this season for the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational where they brought home five event titles and 21 top-10 finishes over the two-day meet.
Twenty-eight student-athletes are slated to represent the Black and Gold in 14 events throughout the weekend.
Events will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday and at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
After this weekend, the Deacs will split up for the final time this indoor season to compete in the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind. and the UCS Invitational at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem. Both meets will be held on Feb. 18.
The Deacs then prepare for the ACC Indoor Championships that will be held Feb. 23-25 in South Bend, Ind.
