The Matchup
• The Demon Deacons take on another top-10 ACC foe, wrapping up the regular season at No. 3 North Carolina on Thursday at 6 p.m. at WakeMed Soccer Park.
Last Time Out
• Wake Forest scored three times in the second half to shut out ACC foe Syracuse, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon.
• Bri Carney scored her first goal of the year, the game-winner, 55 minutes into the game off assists from Estelle Laurier and Abby McNamara.

• The Demon Deacons debuted at No. 15 in the NCAA RPI on Sept. 17. The Deacs also started the season in the No. 15 spot in 2017. Wake Forest remains in the top 30 of the RPI this week.

• Wake Forest head coach Tony da Luz picked up the 300th win of his head coaching career as the Deacons handed No. 11 Boston College its first loss of the year in overtime, 2-1, on Sept. 27.
Scouting The Tar Heels
• North Carolina is unbeaten since ACC play began, reeling off nine straight victories, six of them shutouts. The Tar Heels have recorded three-straight shutout wins over Virginia Tech, No. 11 Boston College and Miami.
• While Alessia Russo leads the team with 16 points and six goals, UNC has a balanced offensive attack. Nine players have scored multiple goals, including six with eight points or more.
• Samantha Leshnak has played in all 17 games in goal with 11 starts, holding a .917 save percentage and 0.20 goals-against average.

• North Carolina leads the all-time series, 30-2-2. The Tar Heels have won five straight since Wake Forest's last win in 2012.

• Wake Forest is still in contention for a spot in the ACC Tournament. The top eight teams qualify; Wake Forest is in a three-way tie for eighth with Virginia Tech and Notre Dame.
