KNOXVILLE, TENN. – The Wake Forest women's tennis team had a tough round of play on Sunday, as host team Tennessee swept the Deacons 6-0 on the singles courts.
Wake Forest rallied in doubles, defeating IUPUI, 2-1. Anna Ulyashchenko and freshman Anna Brylin picked up the first win of the day with a 6-0 sweep over Gabrielle Ochalik and Christina Stankovic. Alexis Franco and Saby Nihalani clinched the doubles victory for the Deacs with another 6-0 decision on court three. IUPUI answered back on court two, defeating Peyton Pesavento and Mary Meredith, 6-1.
The Deacons will travel to Athens, Ga., Friday through Sunday, Nov. 2-4 to compete in the Georgia Fall Invitational.
