
Da Luz Welcomes Seven on Signing Day

The signing class features players at every position, with youth World Cup experience and the Division I leading scorer from 2017 as a grad transfer.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest head women's soccer coach Tony da Luz announced the addition of a seven-member signing class.
The class features six freshmen as well as a graduate transfer who led the nation in goals in 2017. It includes a goalkeeper, defender, three midfielders and two forwards.
"This class has a little bit of everything," da Luz said. "We're graduating key players on each line so it was important to find players who can come in and make an immediate impact. We've found some really talented players who love Wake Forest and can't wait to get started. I have no doubt that they, along with some additional players to be announced later, will make a big impact at Wake Forest both on the field and in the classroom."

She started off the 2018 season with a minor injury but picked up where she left off once she was healthy. She's a natural goal scorer and we're excited to see what she can do playing with our attack."
