The Matchup
• The Wake Forest women's basketball team heads down to Myrtle Beach for a matchup with South Carolina State. The Deacs are seeking their fifth-straight win heading into the holidays. 
• Tipoff is set for 8:30 p.m. from the Myrtle Beach Convocation Center.

Last Time Out
• The Deacs won their fourth consecutive game and improved to 7-4 on the year with  78-67 victory over James Madison on Monday, Dec. 17.
Elisa Penna sealed the win for the Deacs, knocking down two free throws with 0.9 seconds to lift Wake Forest over the Dukes.
Ona Udoh recorded her third double-double of the season with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Alex Sharp earned a double-double for the second time this season with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Ivana Raca led the Deacs with 13 points.

Ona Udoh is second in the league in field goal percentage, shooting 62.8 percent from the field to average 11.5 points per game. She is third in rebounding at 9.6 boards per game and third in blocked shots (1.9).
Elisa Penna is 14th in the ACC in scoring, averaging 15.0 points per game.
Gina Conti ranks second in the ACC in assists per game (5.5) and leads the league in minutes played per game (36.5). She is one of three Deacs to rank in the top eight in the ACC in minutes per game, joined by Elisa Penna (5th - 35.0) and Raca (6th - 34.5). Her 61 total assists are 16th in the country.

Opponent & Series History
• South Carolina State enters Monday's game 6-5 overall and are led by first-year head coach Audra Smith. Smith is no stranger to the ACC, having  served as the head coach at Clemson for the last five years.
• Taylor Brown leads the Bulldog attack, averaging a team-leading 13.4 points per game. Kemoni Jenkins is second on the team with 11.4 ppg.
• Wake Forest leads the all-time series, 3-0, but this is just the second meeting since 1991. Last time out, the Deacs defeated South Carolina State, 95-36, during the 2010-2011 season.
