Deacs to Close Out Regular Season This Weekend

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Wake Forest men's and women's track and field teams are closing out the regular season on April 28 at the Virginia Grand Prix.
Twenty Demon Deacons, including 12 women and eight men, are set to compete in seventeen events in the one-day competition.
Competition for the Deacs begins at 1 p.m. in the field with the women's long jump and at 4:10 p.m. on the track with the men's 3000m steeplechase.
While those Demon Deacons are set to compete on Saturday, the throwers have been competing at the Penn Relays. Janese Lynch, Rachel Kern, Max Adams and Elijah Shalaway are representing Wake Forest in Philadelphia April 26-28.
After this weekend, the Deacs will take time off for finals before heading to Miami, Florida for the 2018 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 10-12.
