The Matchup
• Wake Forest takes on No. 13 Tennessee in the 2018 home opener on Thursday, Aug. 23 at 7:30 p.m.
• The game will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra with Ty Collins on the call.
Last Time Out
• The Demon Deacons played in the Hoosier Challenge Cup, hosted by Indiana.
• The squad's game against the Hoosiers was canceled due to field conditions on Friday before falling to Northwestern on Sunday, 2-0.

Scouting the Lady Vols
• Tennessee holds a 4-0-0 all-time advantage over the Deacons. The teams last met in 2007 at the Virginia Tech Classic.
• The Lady Vols put together a 15-4-2 record in 2017, reaching the second round of the NCAA Championships.
• All-American midfielder Katie Cousins is back, alongside five returning All-SEC and/or United Coaches All-Region award members, including Khadija Shaw who was the team's leading scorer last year with 14 goals.
• The Vols were voted to finish third in the SEC this season. The team opened 2018 in the No. 25 spot in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll before improving to No. 13 this week after beating St. John's and George Mason.
• Shae Yanez has spent all 180 minutes in goal for Tennessee this season, recording two saves. The Tennessee defense has limited opponents to just 11 shots this season.
