The Matchup
• Wake Forest welcomes College of Charleston to Spry Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 26. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
• Sunday's game is K-9s at Spry day. Fans that bring their dogs will receive free admission.
Last Time Out
• The Demon Deacons played No. 13 Tennessee to a 1-1 draw in the 2018 home opener.

• The Demon Deacons return 18 players from the 2017 roster this season, including four of their top-five scorers from a year ago in Bayley Feist, Hannah Betfort, Estelle Laurier and Sofia Rossi.
• The Deacs welcome nine freshmen and grad transfer Mariah Lee to the squad in 2018.

Scouting the Cougars
• The Cougars are off to a 2-1-0 start in 2018 with wins over North Florida (2-0) and Coastal Carolina (1-0) and a loss at No. 5 South Carolina (2-0).
• The College returns 24 letterwinners while adding 11 newcomers to the roster. The team returns Laura Ortega, who led the offense last season with eight goals and five assists.
• Genevieve Henderson is back in goal for the Cougars as a fifth-year. This season she has allowed two goals while maintaining a 0.857 save percentage and recording two shutouts.
Series History
• Wake Forest holds a 2-0-0 advantage in the all-time series with College of Charleston, including a 1-0-0 advantage at Spry Stadium.
• The last time the Cougars visited Winston-Salem was Oct. 26, 1996, when the Deacons took a 3-1 overtime victory.
• The teams have not met since Sept. 2, 1998, a 2-0 Deacon victory in Charleston.
