The Matchup
• Wake Forest opens conference play on the road at No. 16 NC State on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m.

Last Time Out
• The Demon Deacons were set to open ACC play on Sept. 14 against Boston College, but the game was postponed due to Hurricane Florence and will now be played Sept. 27.
• The offense exploded in a 6-0 victory over Longwood on Sept. 9. It was the largest margin of victory since Oct. 30, 2001. Peyton Perea finished with five points (2G, 1A) while Abby McNamara also had two goals. Gi DeMarco and Kate Ravenna scored for the Deacons as well.

• The Demon Deacons debuted at No. 15 in the NCAA RPI on Sept. 17. The Deacs also started the season in the No. 15 spot in 2017.
• Wake Forest will face 13 squads that made it to the NCAA Tournament in 2017, including two College Cup teams in South Carolina and Duke. The Deacs' regular-season schedule includes playing nine teams in the current top-25.
• Senior Nonie Frishette has recorded three solo shutouts while playing every minute between the posts this season. She leads the ACC with 37 saves and a 5.29 saves per game average.

• NC State head coach Tim Santoro served as an assistant/associate head coach under Tony da Luz from 2008-12 prior to accepting the head coaching position at NC State.
