• Wake Forest opens conference play at home by hosting Notre Dame on Sept. 23 at 12 p.m.

• The Demon Deacons defeated their second ranked opponent of the season and started conference play 1-0-0 after defeating No. 16 NC State in Raleigh.

• The Demon Deacons debuted at No. 15 in the NCAA RPI on Sept. 17. The Deacs also started the season in the No. 15 spot in 2017.
• Wake Forest faces 13 squads that made it to the NCAA Tournament in 2017, including two College Cup teams in South Carolina and Duke. The Deacs' regular-season schedule includes playing nine teams in the current top-25.

Scouting the Irish
• The Irish are coming off a 2-0 loss at Louisville on Sept. 20. The team is currently 0-4-0 on the road this season.
• Four members of the squad have two goals each this season while junior Jennifer Westendorf leads the team with seven points (2G, 3A).
• The Irish split time in goal between two keepers in freshman Mattie Interian (four starts) and junior Brooke Littman (five starts). Interian has a 2.00 GAA and a .636 save percentage while Littman has a 1.60 GAA with a .667 save percentage.
• Head coach Nate Norman is in his first season at the helm of the Irish after joining as an assistant coach in 2017.

Series History
• The Irish hold a 6-1-1 all-time record over the Deacons.
• However, in last year's contest on Sept. 29, 2017, Wake Forest defeated Notre Dame for the first time in program history, a 2-1 decision in South Bend.

da Luz Nears 300
• Head coach Tony da Luz is just one win away from his 300th career victory at 299-200-47.
• Da Luz recorded a 46-42-5 record in five seasons at San Diego before his transition to Wake Forest, where he has a 253-158-44 mark in 22 seasons.
• He achieved his 250th win at Wake Forest in the 4-0 victory over Michigan on Aug. 30, his 57th birthday.
