Deacs Head to Chapel Hill for Indoor Opener

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest men's and women's track and field programs will open the 2019 indoor season at the sixth-annual Dick Taylor Carolina Cup, held January 12 in Chapel Hill.
Entering the Carolina Cup for the first time, Wake Forest is one of five entries from North Carolina, joining UNC, Duke, N.C. State and East Carolina.
38 Demon Deacons are slated to compete, including 15 on the men's team and 23 on the women's. 17 freshmen are expected to make their track and field debuts.
Competition at the Eddie Smith Fieldhouse begins at 11 a.m. with the men's pole vault and distance medley relay.
