LOUISVILLE, KY. – No. 6 Louisville snapped No. 20 Wake's (4-6, 0-2 ACC) three-game winning streak, topping the Deacons 3-0 on Friday evening in Trager Stadium.

The Cardinals (9-1, 2-1 ACC)  got off to a quick start as Mercedes Pastor scored her fourth goal of the season on a penalty corner just 12 minutes in, assisted by Meghan Schneider and Carter Ayars.

Louisville held on to its momentum right out of halftime, extending its lead 2-0 with a goal from Madison Walsh. Walsh scored the final goal of the game in the 48th-minute, handing the Cards their 3-0 victory.
Louisville held a narrow 8-6 shot advantage, but had six shots on goal, while the Deacons struggled to get a shot on target. The Deacs were awarded four penalty corners, three coming in the final quarter, but could not convert.

Senior goalkeeper Isla Bint made three saves in the contest, but dropped to 4-6 on the season.

Wake Forest returns to action on Sunday as the Deacs face Miami (Ohio) in non-conference action. Game time is set for 12 p.m.
