Last Time Out
• Wake Forest dropped a midweek game at Liberty by a 9-3 margin.
• The Deacs scored the first two runs of the game, but the Flames answered by scoring the next seven to pull away. Michael Ludowig and Chris Lanzilli each went 2-for-4 with a double to lead the Deacs offensively.

• The Demon Deacons return an experienced group in 2019, bringing back eight of the nine position starters and two-thirds of the weekend rotation. Last year, Wake Forest had the fifth-most starts from freshmen in the country, with five rookies making more than 35 starts each. The Deacs return 88 percent of the team's hits from last year (437/499), as well as 71 percent of the innings pitched (366.1/515.1).

Elon currently boasts a team ERA of 1.75, led by preseason All-American Kyle Brnovich, who went 8-2 with a 1.71 ERA and 147 strikeouts in 105.0 innings last year.
• The Deacs have a 2-0 advantage in the all-time series against Quinnipiac, including winning the most recent meeting in 2017. The Bobcats are 0-2, dropping a pair of games at UNCG last weekend.
