The Matchup
• Wake Forest closes out the long homestand against Charlotte on Tuesday at 6 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
Last Time Out
• The Demon Deacons earned a series win over Boston College by claiming wins on Saturday (22-9) and Sunday (13-3).
• In Saturday's victory, Wake Forest scored its most runs since 2015, hitting four homers and four doubles. The win was sparked by a 13-run fifth inning, tied for the third-biggest inning in program history.
• Chris Lanzilli was the hero of Sunday's game, driving in 10 of Wake Forest's 13 runs. His 10-RBI game is a new program record, and he now leads the ACC and ranks second in the nation with 31 runs driven in.

• The Demon Deacons return an experienced group in 2019, bringing back eight of the nine position starters and two-thirds of the weekend rotation. Last year, Wake Forest had the fifth-most starts from freshmen in the country, with five rookies making more than 35 starts each. The Deacs return 88 percent of the team's hits from last year (437/499), as well as 71 percent of the innings pitched (366.1/515.1).
• Wake Forest's weekend pitching rotation has been solid early in the year. Colin Peluse, Jared Shuster and Morgan McSweeney each have ERAs under 3.80 with opponent batting averages under .250. Shuster is currently 4-0 with 44 strikeouts in 29.0 innings.

• Wake Forest leads the all-time series against Charlotte, 42-29-1. Last year, the 49ers claimed a 13-1 victory at BB&T Ballpark for their second-straight win in the series.
• Charlotte enters with a 10-9 overall record after winning its first Conference USA series against Old Dominion. Harris Yett currently leads the 49ers with a .370 average and 10 doubles in addition to three home runs.
• Wake Forest volunteer assistant coach Joey Hammond played at Charlotte from 1996-98 before going on to an 11-year pro career.
