• The Demon Deacons pitched their way to a 6-2 victory over Liberty. Relievers Antonio Menendez, Shane Muntz, Bobby Hearn and William Fleming combined to hold the Flames hitless over the final five innings.
• Shane Muntz broke a 2-2 tie with a fifth-inning home run, and Brendan Tinsman added a solo blast to highlight a 3-for-3 day with three RBIs.
• Bobby Seymour added two hits and a walk, increasing his batting average to .379.

Wake Forest Storylines
• The back end of Wake Forest's bullpen has been impressive as of late. William Fleming, Antonio Menendez and Bobby Hearn each have ERAs under 3.00. Fleming has recorded five saves as the Deacons closer and a 2.30 ERA. Opponents are hitting just .169 against Hearn, who is 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA. Menendez has a 5-1 record wins vs. Pitt and Liberty in the last week, and has struck out 51 batters in 39.1 innings.
• Patrick Frick ranks second in the ACC with a .386 batting average to go along with eight doubles, four homers, 35 RBIs and six stolen bases. Bobby Seymour is hitting .379 and leads the ACC with 53 RBIs on 10 doubles and six homers. Chris Lanzilli is batting .335 and ranks in the top-10 in the ACC with 16 doubles, nine homers and 44 RBIs.

• With Wake Forest's records dating back to the 1950s, NC State leads the all-time series 121-60 in that span. However, Wake Forest's first recorded baseball game came against NC State on April 14, 1890 - a 35-5 Wake Forest victory. The Wolfpack have swept three of the last four series, but the Demon Deacons won the last series in Winston-Salem in 2019.
• NC State won its first 19 games of 2019 to skyrocket into the top five of the national rankings. The Wolfpack hit a recent skid, though, dropping five straight games before beating UNCW on the road Tuesday, 14-7.
