WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Three-time All-American men's tennis player Borna Gojo has decided to forego his senior season in order to play professionally, head coach Tony Bresky announced.

"Borna is not coming back for his senior year," Bresky said. "He has decided to turn pro. He had an excellent fall and ended up playing in the Davis Cup for Croatia. We're very hopeful that he's going to be able to make a big push this year and break into the top-100. We wish him the best of luck in his professional career."

Gojo, a member of the Wake Forest tennis team from 2017-19, helped the Deacons to their first ever NCAA Championship in 2018. He advanced to the finals of the NCAA Singles Championship, falling to teammate Petros Chrysochos for the singles title. He was named the Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Championships.

The Split, Croatia native, was named First-Team All-ACC all three years and was a three-time NCAA Singles All-American. He finished his junior season with a 13-4 singles record. 11 of his 13 wins came against ranked opponents and all 17 of his matches were at the No. 1 singles position.
