Migliaccio leads Deacons Heading into Final Day of Northrop Grumman

PALOS VERDES, Calif. – The Wake Forest women's golf team sits in a tie for fourth place with Southern California, behind Duke and UCLA, with 18 holes left to play at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge.
Junior Emilia Migliaccio leads the way for the Deacons as she has remained inside the top five for the first 36 holes, holding the solo top spot and sharing the line for a period in the second round. She currently sits tied for third, just two strokes off the lead.
An eagle in her first nine holes of the round highlights the tournament so far for senior Siyun Liu. But the biggest bright spot for the Deacons came late in the day today, as freshman Lauren Walsh hit her first hole-in-one during her second nine holes. She hit the pin on the fourth hole, a par 3, 205-yarder. Walsh joins Migliaccio inside the top 20 at T19.
The final round will have a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. ET tomorrow.
