PALOS VERDES, Calif. – The Demon Deacons wrapped up their first tournament of the spring with two top 25 finishes.
Junior Emilia Migliaccio ended the event in a tie for seventh with a two-under tournament score of 211. Freshman Lauren Walsh finished tied for 25th, with her play being highlighted by her second hole in one in her golf career. Senior Siyun Liu had her best round of the tournament, carding a one-over 72 for the final 18 holes.
From the Coach
"The first event of the spring is always a good one to evaluate where you need to be looking for championships. We had some very good moments, leading the tournament midway through. I feel we received good feedback and look forward to getting back to work for Long Cove. Lauren's hole-in-one was definitely a highlight and having Emilia in contention for the lead throughout the tournament shows that hard work does pay off." – Head Coach Kim Lewellen

The Deacons return to competition March 6-8 at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, hosted by Southern Carolina, at the Long Cove Club on Hilton Head Island.
