WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Tuesday's game between No. 18 Wake Forest and UNCG has been suspended due to rain and will be completed at a later date.
The Demon Deacons hold a 6-2 lead over the Spartans after five innings. The coaching staffs had predetermined to complete the game later in event of rain.
The tentative plan is to complete the game when Wake Forest makes the return trip to UNCG on Apr. 28.
Michael Turconi has reached base four times on three singles and a walk, and Bobby Seymour is 2-for-4 with a two-run double. Michael Ludowig is 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Riley Myers left after 3.1 innings, allowing one run with four strikeouts and no walks.
Wake Forest will head into the weekend trip to Long Beach State with a 3-1 overall record.
