SOUTH BEND, IND. – Wake Forest finished a solid performance in both men's and women's track Saturday at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships at Notre Dame.
The Wake Forest men finished in eighth place with 30 points. It marked the best finish by a Demon Deacon men's indoor track team since a seventh place finish in 2009. The women's team finished 11th, its best finish since 2017.
The men's finish takes on an even better feel when considering the Deacons were seventh of 12 teams in the ACC in 2009 while the 2020 team finished eighth of 15 ACC teams.
Zach Facioni earned his second first team All-ACC honor with a second place finish in the 3,000m. Facioni posted a 7:59.64 and finished second to Virginia Tech's Peter Seufer by just a half second.

Freshman Aleeya Hutchins finished third in the 800 meters on Saturday with a personal-best 2:06.22. The third place finish earned Hutchins first team All-ACC honors.
