THE MATCHUP
• No. 14 Wake Forest returns home to host a midweek doubleheader on Wednesday, March 4.
• The Deacs will open ACC play, facing No. 24 Duke at 4 p.m., followed by a non-conference matchup with in-state rival UNCG at 7 p.m.
• Weather permitting, the Deacs will take the outdoor courts at home for the first time this season. If outside, the match against Duke will be aired on ACCNX with Everett Hutto on the call.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Deacons picked up a thrilling 4-3 victory over No. 19 Oklahoma State on the road on Sunday.
• Wake Forest rallied from a 3-0 deficit winning the final four singles matches. Junior Bar Botzer clinched the match with a three-set victory.
• The bottom of the lineup had a stellar day for the Deacs as Melios Efstathiou, Eduardo Nava and Rrezart Cungu all earned wins over the Cowboys.
• Wake Forest improves to 6-3 all-time against Oklahoma State.
SCOUTING THE BLUE DEVILS
• Duke makes the short trip to Winston-Salem at 12-1 overall following back-to-back sweeps over Coastal Carolina and Holy Cross.
• The Blue Devils enter this week's ITA rankings at No. 24, up five spots from last week.
• Nick Stachowiak leads the Blue Devils on the top court. He has posted a 7-1 dual match record.
• Stachowiak and doubles partner Sean Sculley are undefeated at 7-0 on the top court. The pair has an overall record of 21-4 so far this season.
SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
• The Spartans are 3-3 on the season, picking up wins against Winthrop, Florida Gulf Coast and Appalachian State.
• Ollie Palmer has played four matches in the top spot, with a 3-1 record while Hugh Knapp is 1-1 on court one.
• UNCG will face Wofford on Tuesday before taking on the Deacs on Wednesday.
• Wake Forest is 5-0 all-time against the Spartans.
NEXT UP
• Wake Forest will head west to face Arizona State and reigning ITA Indoor Champion USC on March 8 and 10, respectively.
• First serve against the Sun Devils is set for 3 p.m. EST and the match against USC will begin at 8 p.m. EST
