DEACS MEET PITT TO OPEN ACC TOURNAMENT
• Wake Forest plays Pitt in the opening game of the 2020 ACC Tournament
• The Deacs defeated the Panthers 69-65 in Pittsburgh on Jan. 4 in the only meeting of the season
• It is the second all-time ACC Tournament meeting between the schools (Pitt defeated Wake in the 2nd round of the 2014 tournament in Greensboro)

ACC TOURNAMENT HISTORY
• The Deacs have won the ACC Tournament four times (1961, 1962, 1995, 1996)
• Wake Forest has a 44-62 all-time record in the event
• Last year in Charlotte, the Deacs fell in the first round to Miami

GREENSBORO HISTORY
• Wake Forest has a long history at the Greensboro Coliseum, where the Deacs played many home games in the 1970s and 1980s
• In the ACC Tournament, the Deacs are 17-24 all-time in Greensboro, including winning in 1995 & 1996
• Wake is 1-1 at the Greensboro Coliseum under Danny Manning, falling to Virginia Tech in the first round of the 2015 ACC Tournament and winning at UNCG in 2016-17

ACC-OLADES FOR SARR & CHILDRESS
• Wake Forest had two players earn All-ACC honors with Olivier Sarr being named to the third team and Brandon Childress receiving honorable mention recognition
• Since the ACC expanded to 15 teams in 2013-14, it marks the first time two Demon Deacons have earned All-ACC accolades
• Sarr joins John Collins (1st team in 2017) as the only Deacs to earn a place on one of the three All-ACC teams in the 15-team era
• Sarr was also runner-up in the ACC Most Improved Player voting

THE 1400-400 CLUB
Brandon Childress enters today's game two points away from joining the 1,400 point-400 assist club for his career
• He will become the fifth Demon Deacon to join the club, which includes his father
• He will be the only active ACC player with 1,400 points and 400 assists, and one of just six active power conference players to reach both milestones

O CANADA!
• Freshman guard Jahcobi Neath has been playing his best basketball of the season over the last six games
• The Toronto native is averaging 10.8 points and 4.2 assists over the last five, including a career-high six assists at Miami and scoring a career-high 16 points against both Georgia Tech and Duke
• Neath's first four double-figure scoring games have come in the last five games

MANNING IN GREENSBORO
Danny Manning spent a majority of his childhood in Greensboro
• In 1983, Manning led Page High School to the North Carolina state championship at the Greensboro Coliseum
• On Monday, the Demon Deacons practiced at Page High School
• Manning played one collegiate game at the Greensboro Coliseum, helping Kansas post a victory over NC State during his sophomore season

UP NEXT
• If the Demon Deacons defeat Pitt, they will play NC State in the second round on Wednesday at 2:30 pm
• The Wolfpack won both regular season meetings (Dec. 7 in Winston-Salem and last Friday in Raleigh in the regular season finale)
