Haas Named Finalist for Dave Williams Award

NORMAN, Okla. – Wake Forest men 's golf head coach Jerry Haas has been named a finalist for the Dave Williams Award, announced this week by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Haas is one of five finalists for the award, annually given to the national coach of the year in Division I men's golf. This is the second consecutive year he has been nominated for the prestigious award.
Haas is joined by Michael Beard of Pepperdine, Mark Crabtree of Louisville, Ryan Hybl of Oklahoma, and Greg Sands of Texas Tech. He helped guide the Demon Deacons to one victory over the course of 2019-20. The Demon Deacons also posted three runner-up finishes and two top-five finishes in their other five events of the season. They finished the season ranked fifth in the country by Golfstat.
