Eight Deacs Named to ITA Scholar Athlete List

On top of Wake Forest earning ITA All-Academic Team distinctions, eight members of the team were recognized individually for their academic accomplishments.
TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association placed eight members of the Wake Forest women's tennis program on the ITA Scholar-Athlete list, as announced Monday by the organization.
Anna Brylin, Carolyn Campana, Chandler Carter, Alexis Franco, Madeleine Lynch, Saby Nihalani, Eliza Omirou and Peyton Pesavento all earned a place on the list. The Deacs also received recognition from the ITA as a team being named one of the 244 All-Academic Team selections.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
- A grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
- Listed on the institutional eligibility form
- A team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
- All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
- All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
