Wake Forest is looking to bounce back with a victory at Virginia Tech on Sunday afternoon.
BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team is back on the road, visiting Virginia Tech on Sunday afternoon.
The Demon Deacons (6-4, 3-3 ACC) will look to bounce back and capture their first road win of conference action after a close 79-72 loss at Notre Dame on Thursday afternoon. The Deacs were led by a career-high 29 points from Gina Conti with 26 points coming in the second half.
Behind 18 points and 14 rebounds from sophomore center Elizabeth Kitley, the Hokies (7-4, 2-4 ACC) captured a 66-54 victory at North Carolina on Thursday night. It ended a four-game losing streak that dated back to December 10.
Tipoff for Sunday's game against Virginia Tech is scheduled for 4 p.m. (ET) in Cassell Coliseum. The game will air on ACC Network.

CONTI CAREER-HIGH
Conti finished Thursday with a career-best 29 points with 26 points coming in the second half. It marked the most points in a half since Dearica Hamby had 27 in the second half against Montana on Nov. 29, 2014.
Since the 2015-16 season, only one Wake Forest player has scored more points than Conti's 29 (Elisa Penna at NC State - Feb. 28, 2018).
Gina Conti finished the afternoon with a career-best 8-of-12 three pointers, finishing one away from the school record. Coming into the game, her previous career-high in three-point makes was four and her season-high was three.
