1/26/2021 9:00:00 AM | Men's Soccer

The Demon Deacons will host Davidson in a non-conference match to open the spring before facing off with six ACC opponents.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- After completing the fall with a 7-2-0 overall record in which Wake Forest men's soccer claimed the No. 1 seed out of the Atlantic Coast Conference's South Region and a No. 3 national ranking in the United Soccer Coaches poll, the Demon Deacons will open the spring portion of the schedule on Sunday, Feb. 28 against Davidson.

That match will begin at 6 p.m. at Spry Stadium and mark the 36th matchup all-time with the Wildcats. Marking the third-straight season the two schools will square off, Wake Forest leads the series 31-4-1 with 20-straight victories.

The Demon Deacons will then turn their attention to ACC play, with back-to-back home matches against Boston College (March 6) and NC State (March 13) before hitting the road to face Notre Dame (March 20). During the spring season, the ACC will return to the traditional format of the Atlantic and Coastal Divisions.

Wake Forest will return to Winston-Salem for a home match with Louisville (March 27) before concluding the spring with a pair of road contests at Clemson (April 2) and Syracuse (April 9).

On April 13, the teams that clinched the Atlantic and Coastal Divisions will meet with the winner facing Clemson on April 17 for the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. Clemson won the ACC Tournament this past fall.

Heading into the spring, Wake Forest has been ranked in the top-25 of the national polls 77-straight weeks and in the top-10 for 57-straight weeks.
