
Deacs Ready for Third-Straight ACC Road Match

The Demon Deacons and Cardinals will meet on Saturday night as Wake Forest looks for its fifth-straight road victory.
LOUISVILLE, KY -- Wake Forest women's soccer hits the road for the third-straight Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) away match as the Demon Deacons take a trip to Louisville on Saturday night.

LAST TIME OUT
Wake Forest women's soccer team wins their fourth-straight road game, eighth multi-goal game and 10th shutout game with a 2-0 win over Syracuse on Sunday afternoon.
The Deacs' first goal came in the 19th minute from graduate forward Hulda Arnarsdottir, who collected a perfect pass from senior Ryanne Brown to score her second goal in two games. It was Arnarsdottir's 13th collegiate goal.
After the halftime break, the Deacs came out firing as the offense recorded eight of the 13 shots in the bottom 45 compared to Syracuse's four.
Senior Shayla Smart put the nail in the coffin when she recorded her seventh goal of the season off a Zara Chavoshi cross. Smart settled the ball and blasted a shot at the net where the Syracuse keeper got a hand on it, but it bounced in.
ACC STANDINGS
Wake Forest and Louisville both sit at six points, which is tied for fourth in the ACC standings.

STINGY DEFENSE
The Demon Deacons have posted 10 shutouts and have scored 26 but only given up one goal to date. The team's 0.091 goals-against average leads all of Division 1. Parks is tied for the most shutouts in the nation and ranks third among all keepers in Division 1 with a 0.104 goals-against average.
The lone blemish came against No. 7 Virginia in a contest won by the Cavaliers, 1-0.
GOOD COMPANY
Wake Forest is one of just two teams in the country with a shutout percentage of .875 or better.
LOCKDOWN DEFENSE
Before giving up a goal vs No. 7 Virginia, Wake Forest's back line tallied 738 scoreless minutes. They limited opponents to a combined 24 shots on goal and 30 corner kicks through nine games.
