Men's XC Finish Second at Royals Challenge

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Three Demon Deacons placed in the top 15 as Wake Forest men's cross country team earned second place mark at the Royals Challenge. 
 
The Deacs men had three finishers place in the top 15, collecting 123 points to secure the silver medal.
Wake Forest's second place finish was edged out by Charleston (42) and surpassed Wingate (133), Milligan (136) and Cedarville (165) in the top five.
 
Niall Ryan's sixth place finish with a time of 23:48.7. The New Rochelle, NY native, averaged a 4:47 mile. John LePino and Vincent Loftis hit the line at 9th and 15th place, respectively.
 
Zoe Clay notched the best finish out of the three women racers with a time of 17:46.0, placing her at the 14th spot. 
 
The Deacs return to competition on Oct. 15th when they race at the Pre-Nationals Invitational in Tallahassee, Fla.
