Wake Forest Sweeps Elon in Dominant Win

The Demon Deacons picked up it’s first sweep victory this season with straight-set victories in all six singles matches.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The No. 16 Wake Forest women's tennis team picked up a convincing 7-0 win on Saturday afternoon against Elon.
The Demon Deacons (3-3) came out of the gates quick, winning all three doubles matches to secure the first point of the match. Once singles play began, the momentum did not slow down.
The trio of Anna Brylin, Cassie Wooten, and Peyton Pesavento picked up three straight set victories over Elon (3-2) early to secure the match win for the Demon Deacons. Brylin's match finished first as she scored a dominant 6-1, 6-0 win in the No. 3 singles match.
Just minutes after the conclusion of Pesavento's match, Brooke Killingsworth picked up another point for the Demon Deacons, extending the lead to 5-0. Killingsworth's win came in straight sets giving the Deacs four straight- set victories with two matches to go.
Wake Forest ultimately closed out the match to win 7-0 improving to 2-0 at home this season.
