Deacs Continues Homestand on Friday

The No. 13 Wake Forest men’s tennis team will look to extend its 23-match ACC unbeaten streak on Friday against Virginia Tech.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 13 Wake Forest men's tennis team continues its 11-match homestand on Friday, battling against Virginia Tech and North Carolina Wesleyan at Wake Forest Tennis Center.
The Demon Deacons go into the match with a 23-match unbeaten streak in conference play and are the back-to-back defending ACC Champions.
First serve against the Hokies is set for 3 p.m. ET while the Deacs finish the day against the Battling Bishops at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Since the start of the 2016-17 season, Wake Forest has a 68-1 record in home matches. This includes a perfect 35-0 record over the past three seasons. The only loss at home came against Florida (4-3) during the 2017-18 season.

LAST TIME
After a pair of wins over Louisville and UNC-Wilmington on Sunday, the Demon Deacons extended their winning streak to six consecutive matches and remained a perfect 8-0 in home matches this season.
- Wake Forest sophomore Henri Squire was tough to beat all weekend going a perfect 5-0 in singles and doubles matches, all which came on court one. This included his second ranked win of the season, defeating No. 71 Chen from Louisville on Sunday afternoon.
NEXT UP
The Deacs are set to close the weekend at home, battling No. 4 Virginia on Sunday afternoon before facing Davidson in the night session.
The first serve against the Cavaliers is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Wake Forest Tennis Center while the match against the Wildcats is set for 4:30 p.m.
