Wake Forest had two individuals capture titles at the same meet for the first time since 2007.

CLEMSON, S.C. -- The second day of the ACC Indoor Championships ended in a similar fashion to that of Day 1 as Anna Bush walked away with an ACC Championship in the women's pentathlon. The redshirt junior scored a personal best 4,121 points, which is also the No. 5 mark in the NCAA right now.

Bush followed junior Tony Jones' performance on Thursday when he placed first in the men's high jump. This year marks the first time Wake Forest had two student-athletes earn individual titles at the ACC Indoor Championships since 2007 when Michelle Sikes won the women's 5,000 meter run and Brent LaRue captured the men's heptathlon title.

Additionally with the Deacons winning the distance medley relay championship (Amy Harding-Delooze, Cydney Delley, Aleeya Hutchins, Johanna Schulz) one year ago, the Deacons have won league titles in back-to-back years for the first times since 2015 (Nyki Caldwell, high jump) and 2016 (Robert Heppenstall, 800m run).

Bush, a native of Horsham, Australia, is the first female Demon Deacon to win a pentathlon championship and she placed no lower than sixth in any event. With that, she recorded personal bests in both the long jump (5.93m) and 800m run (2:16.63). Overall, Bush is the 15th female in program history to capture an individual crown and Wake Forest now has 20 total female event ACC Indoor Championships.

In addition to Bush's success in the pentathlon, freshman Addison Berry and sophomore Meghan O'Malley both earned personal bests in the event as they scored 3,696 and 3,300 points, respectively. Berry, who finished in seventh overall, recorded three personal bests (shot put, long jump, 800m run) in the individual events of the pentathlon and O'Malley tallied a pair of her own in the high jump and shot put.

Aside from the women's pentathlon, redshirt sophomore Brent Bailey placed third in the men's one mile prelims, which qualified him for tomorrow's finals. Bailey was able to accomplish this feat while he recorded a personal best time of 4:03.98.

Overall for the meet, Wake Forest student-athletes have totaled 13 personal best marks in their complete events. With that, complete results from Thursday and Friday's events, tomorrow's schedule and all meet information for the week is below.

Competition concludes on Saturday for the Demon Deacons with the meet airing on ACC Network Extra

DIRECTOR OF TRACK & FIELD JOHN HAYES:
"With two ACC Championships and four athletes qualified for tomorrow's 800m and one mile finals, I am so proud of our entire team and my entire coaching staff. While I missed today's competition driving some of our student-athletes back to Winston-Salem and training our cross country team, I am so excited to see our athletes continue to compete so hard. Everyone is doing an outstanding job. Specifically about Anna and her ACC Championship in the pentathlon, she fell behind early today and never quit. Her mentality and effort to finish strong in the 800m run was inspiring. I feel blessed to do what I do and be around our staff and these student-athletes. Saturday will be an exciting day of competition for the Demon Deacons."
