Six student-athletes are set to begin their outdoor season at the Perry Palooza Early Bird Classic on Saturday.

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Wake Forest will have six throwers compete at the Perry Palooza Early Bird Classic at High Point University on Saturday.
Graduate Elijah Shalaway will compete in javelin for the men and redshirt senior Rachel Kern and sophomore Alexandra Roberts are set to begin their spring season in the same event for the women. Graduate Michael Yow, junior Andrew White and sophomore Jason Wagner will all compete in the men's hammer throw, while White and Wagner will also compete in the discus and shot put, respectively.
All these events begin at 11 a.m.
In addition to this meet, Wake Forest's squad will be concurrently competing in the ACC Indoor Championships.
