Brylin Shines as Wake Forest Falls at Furman

Junior Anna Brylin continues her strong start to the season, picking up another straight-set victory in the No. 3 singles position.
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Despite a strong start to singles play, the No. 16 Wake Forest women's tennis team fell at Furman, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon.
In her first appearance on the court for the Demon Deacons (2-3) this season, senior Eliza Omirou made her presence felt early on, teaming up with Peyton Pesavento to capture a doubles win on court three.
The duo cruised to a 6-3 win in the No. 3 doubles match but it was not enough to claim the point as Furman (3-4) won on courts one and two.
Anna Brylin continued to make quick work of her competition in the No. 3 singles position, claiming another straight-set victory to get the Demon Deacons on the board first since singles action.
She took down the Paladin's Dillon with 6-3, 6-2 set wins, tying the match at 1-1.
Peyton Pesavento earned her second singles win of the season, defeating Furman's Pate. After dropping the first set, she battled back to take the next two to claim the match in the Deacs' fifth of the day.
