Trio of Demon Deacons Set for NCAA Indoor Championship

The championships, hosted by the University of Arkansas, will be held March 11-13 at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Three Wake Forest qualifiers are in Fayetteville, Ark. this week for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships inside the Randal Tyson Track Center (March 11-13).
The top 16 fastest times/marks in the nation are invited to compete in the NCAA Indoor Championships and redshirt junior and recent ACC Champion Anna Bush enters this weekend's women's pentathlon ranked sixth in the country with her career-best mark, 4,121 points.
Wake Forest's other two competitors are in the running events led by sophomore Aleeya Hutchins in the 800-meter run. The Pickering, Ontario native broke a Demon Deacon indoor program record in the event at the ACC Championships with a personal best time of 2:04.73. The previous indoor record was set back in 2004 by Nikeya Green with a time of 2:05.31.
Hutchins enters the event seeded 12th.
The third competitor for the Deacs will be graduate Hannah Brookover in the 3,000m run. The Palm Harbor, Fla. standout notched a mark of 9:13.24c earlier this indoor season and is seeded 14th.
Student-athletes who finish in the top-eight in their event earn first-team All-American accolades. Meanwhile, second team honors are given to those who finish from ninth to 16th place. Complete schedule of events for the three Demon Deacon competitors is below.
