Two Demon Deacons Garner ACC Weekly Honors

Henri Squire was named ACC Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week; Eduardo Nava and Squire named Co-ACC Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wake Forest men's tennis sophomore Henri Squire has been named the ACC Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week as well as earning the Co-ACC Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week accolade alongside senior Eduardo Nava in honors announced Tuesday by the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Squire helped lead the Demon Deacons to three-straight victories over the weekend. At the Wake Forest Tennis Center, Squire picked up a 6-1, 6-4 victory over No. 34 Adria Sorriano Barrera of Miami on the top singles court en route to a Deacs' 4-0 sweep of the Hurricanes. On Saturday, Squire picked up another ranked win over No. 77 Alex Knaff of Florida State.
In doubles, Squire and Eduardo defeated the No. 22-ranked duo from Miami, 6-4, on Friday. On Saturday, they battled to a 6-4 win against Alex Knaff and Sebastian Arcila to clinch the doubles point against Florida State. The duo has won eight matches this season.
Squire is the first Demon Deacon to be named the ACC Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week this season. This is Squire's first ACC Player of the Week honor and ACC Doubles accolade.
This is the second ACC weekly honor of Nava's career.
