LAST TIME OUT
  • Back on the pitch for the team's first official game since last November, Wake Forest women's soccer dropped a 2-0 decision at Tennessee on Saturday night at Regal Soccer Stadium.
  • The Demon Deacons tallied 10 shots with two on goal. Six of those shots came in the first half and redshirt junior Sofia Rossi and freshman Carrie McIntire recorded the pair of shots on goal for the Deacs.
  • Tennessee had its two scores come off the leg of Jaida Thomas in the 43rd and 72nd minute.

SERIES HISTORY
  • Saturday's match will be the 27th meeting between Wake Forest and NC State. The Deacs own a 17-7-2 record against the Wolfpack.
  • Last time out, Wake Forest battled back after a slow first half to tie the game and finish with a 1-1 draw against NC State at Spry Stadium in 2019.
  • Hayley Younginer and Estelle Laurier executed a perfect give-and-go at the edge of the box, with Younginer beating the keeper to score in the 62nd minute.

SCOUTING NC STATE
  • The Wolfpack will be playing in their sixth match in the spring on Saturday. They record a 4-0-1 mark after opting out of the fall season. They are coming off a 2-1 road win over VCU.
  • Eight different players on the team have tallied at least one goal or assist this season. Denae Antoine and Leyah Hall-Robinson lead the way as the team's multi-goal scorers with two apiece, while Jameese Joseph and Toni Starova pace the team with two assists each.

UP NEXT:
  • The Deacs will return home for the first time this spring to face Elon next weekend. The match is set for 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 28 at Spry Stadium.
