Deacon Nation will have a chance to bid on special edition, game-worn jerseys with the proceeds being donated to Brenner Children's Hospital.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest baseball team will host its first-ever Fight Against Pediatric Cancer Game on Saturday, May 1 against N.C. State.
During the game, the Deacs will be wearing light yellow jerseys to match the pediatric cancer ribbon to support the cause.
"We are honored to partner with Brenner Children's Hospital to support their efforts in combating pediatric brain cancer," said head coach Tom Walter. "Shortly before the pandemic, Jessica Powell and Karen Saylor Bush arranged for Dr. Kram to give our players and coaches a tour of their facility and interact with some of their patients and the families of their patients. We were simply blown away by the great work they are doing and the difference they are making in the lives of these families."
Beginning April 1, fans will have the opportunity to bid on the game-worn jerseys through our website until 8 p.m. on the night of the game. The starting bid for each jersey is $100.
All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Brenner Children's Hospital.
