Deacs Secure Fourth ACC Win of Season

No. 12 Wake Forest ended the weekend with a 7-0 victory over Boston College, the 15-straight win over the Eagles.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 12 Wake Forest men's tennis team stays perfect against Boston College, 7-0, on Sunday.
It marked the 15-straight win over Boston College, dating back to 2006.
The Demon Deacons (13-4, 4-1 ACC) got off to a hot start with a dominant doubles performance. Wake Forest closed out the first point of the match with wins on all three courts.
Melios Efstathiou and Robert Maciag cruised to a 6-1 victory in the No. 2 match while Rrezart Cungu and Filippo Moroni finished just moments later with a 6-2 win in No. 3 doubles.
Wake Forest continued to build its lead against the Eagles (0-6, 0-6 ACC) early in singles play with wins in the No. 3 singles, No. 6 singles and No. 5.
Moroni, Maciag and Adam Ambrozy grabbed straight-set wins to secure the Deacs a win over Boston College. Moroni quickly won, defeating Max Mendelsohn in the No. 3 match, 6-0, 6-3.
Maciag grabbed a victory over Will Coad in dominant fashion, posting a straight-set 6-4, 6-2 win on court six.
Graduate student Ambrozy played clincher in the No. 5 match, winning another match in straight sets. Ambrozy defeated his opponent with a 6-1, 6-1 win.
Wake Forest went on to grab three more victories to help complete the sweep over the Eagles. Efstathiou swept Sean Mullins, 6-4, 6-2.
Junior Siddhant Banthia was next to finish, defeating Eedara, 5-7, 6-2, 1-0 (10-0).
