
Deacs Ready for Duke Twilight on Monday

DURHAM, N.C. – In the final tune up before the ACC Outdoor Championships, the Wake Forest track & field program is ready to compete at the Duke Twilight on Monday at Morris Williams Track & Field.
Events get underway at 11 a.m. on Monday. A total of 39 Demon Deacons are prepared to compete in 20 different events throughout their solo day of action. The ACC Outdoor Championships is coming up May 13-15 in Raleigh, N.C.
Recently, the Demon Deacons were led by Thomas Kitchell and Robbie Grace who placed first in their respective events at the Charlotte Invite. Thomas Kitchell tallied another personal best in the shot put with his first top mark in his young career. The sophomore long jumper Robbie Grace fought through the rain and earned herself a top mark.
Besides Kitchell and Grace, Cassie Martin (3), Mason Ellis (3), Janese Lynch (2), Andrew White (2) and Cydney Delley (3) reeled in podium finishes.

Wake Forest's men's 5000m event group of Zach Facioni, Aaron Las Heras, Jack Tiernan and Joaquin Martinez reached a ranking of No. 9 in the nation according to the USTFCCCA.
The men's 1500m event group of Zach Facioni, Aaron Las Heras, Joaquin Martinez and Ben Hill have earned the rank of No. 10 in the country with their average time of 3:43.11.
