ORLANDO, Fla. - Wake Forest women's golfers Emilia Migliaccio and Lauren Walsh have been named to the United States and International teams for the 2021 Arnold Palmer Cup.
Migliaccio is the only American, male or female, in the history of the event to be selected to four Arnold Palmer Cup teams. This will be Walsh's first appearance at the event. Migliaccio will join Wake Forest teammate Rachel Kuehn on the United States team and Walsh will join Wake Forest men's golfer Alex Fitzpatrick on the International team.
During her senior campaign, Migliaccio finished runner-up in a playoff at the second Augusta National Women's Amateur in April. She has played in the lineup for all six events this spring with a 73.73 stroke average. She's had four top-25 finishes in five stroke play events and contributed match wins in the team victory at the Big Four Challenge.
In her sophomore season, Walsh has played in the lineup for all six events and leads the team with a 71.73 stroke average. She earned All-ACC honors after recording five top-15 finishes in five stroke play events and contributed match wins in the Big Four Challenge. She opened the season with back-to-back second place finishes.
Head women's golf coach Kim Lewellen was named Head Coach of Team USA for the 2021 event last year. For the first time since the event's inception, the Arnold Palmer Cup will be played in the United States back-to-back years, with Rich Harvest Farms in Illinois hosting this year from June 11-13.
